The idyllic island of Madeira is hitting the road in 2023 as demand continues to grow from travelling golfers, tour operators and agencies eager to explore one of Europe\u2019s fastest emerging golf destinations.<\/p>

Belongs to all \u2013 the consumer-facing brand of the Madeira Promotion Bureau<\/a> \u2013 the Portuguese archipelago\u2019s three golf clubs and destination management company \u2018Golf in Madeira\u2019 will showcase the destination at a number of high-profile golf trade shows across the continent over the coming months.<\/p>

Madeira, voted the world\u2019s leading island destination for the last eight years in a row at the World Travel Awards, launched its overseas promotional activity at the start of this month by exhibiting at Rheingolf Messe in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany \u2013 Europe\u2019s largest and leading retail exhibition for golf equipment, golf travel and golf lifestyles.<\/p>

The island delegation will then head to the Republic of Ireland to highlight Madeira\u2019s many golf and lifestyle experiences to visitors attending the Irish Golf Show from March 31 to April 1 before heading home to prepare for the 2023 International Golf Travel Market (IGTM), which will be held in Lisbon this year.<\/p>

Taking place in the Portuguese capital from October 16-19, IGTM is the world\u2019s event for the golf travel industry and Madeira is determined to make the most of the opportunity to showcase its wide-ranging and varied product to a global audience.<\/p>

Andre Rodrigues, from Golf in Madeira, said: \u201cIt will be our pleasure to showcase the best golf holiday offers for the Madeira Islands over the coming months. The response we have received from golfers, tour operators and agencies to our product has been very positive over the last few years, and we\u2019re looking forward to more and more players discovering what we have to offer in 2023 and beyond.\u201d<\/p>

Madeira features three first-class 18-hole golf courses \u2013 Palheiro Golf<\/a>, Clube de Golfe Santo da Serra<\/a> and Porto Santo<\/a> Golfe as well as an array of outstanding historic, cultural and lifestyle experiences.<\/p>

Located approximately 1,000km from the European mainland \u2013 and just 500km from the African continent \u2013 the island destination enjoys an amazingly mild climate, ranging from 25\u00b0c in the summer to 17\u00b0c in the winter, with very mild average temperatures and moderate humidity, making it the perfect year-round location for a golf break.<\/p>
